Delores Alice Epple, age 89, of Montrose, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
Her funeral service will be Monday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at Montrose United Methodist Church, 230 Center Avenue, Montrose. Interment will follow at Cassel Cemetery in rural Delano.
There will be visitation Sunday, June 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, continuing Monday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Delores was born July 15, 1927, in Rockford Township, the daughter of George and Beatrice (Haften) Dixon.
She attended elementary school in a one-room country school in Rockford Township; and attended Rockford High from 1942 until 1945, graduating at the head of her class.
Following graduation, she returned home to help on the family farm.
Delores A. Dixon and Donald W. Epple were joined in holy marriage Sept. 18, 1948, at the Rockford Presbyterian Church in Rockford. God blessed their marriage with three children.
A faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Montrose, Delores held a variety of offices and always helped out where needed.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, mowing the lawn, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Delores was a nurturing woman, who made sure everyone was okay.
Delores is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Epple; parents George and Beatrice Dixon; and sister-in-law, Agnes Dixon.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Piedad) Epple, Diane (Terry) Rux, all of Montrose, and Donna (Tim) Cobb of Weiser, ID; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Dixon of Buffalo; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
