Lowell R. Hagedorn, age 83, of Waverly, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
A graveside service with military honors will take place Monday, Sept. 25 at 10:15 a.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Assembly Area #5.
Arrangements are being handled by the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Lowell was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Omaha, NE, the son of Arthur B. and Agnes E. (Renaas) Hagedorn.
He honorably served his country in the United States Navy.
Lowell married Mary Susan Matthews July 7, 1973, in Las Vegas.
Lowell engaged in farming in Marysville Township, Wright County. He was also a hairdresser at LaBelle Femme for many years.
He enjoyed gardening, flowers, farming, and also provided produce to area restaurants. He also enjoyed pheasant hunting in South Dakota.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Sue Hagedorn; a daughter, Christine (Gerard) Lepak of LaCrosse, WI; four grandchildren: Emily and Aaron Lepak, and Lena and Sophie Civitarese; step children Jeff Rogers, Greg (Karla) Rogers, and Julie Riddle; 10 step grandchildren; a brother, Ron Hagedorn of Benson, AZ; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Macy; and by a brother, Fred Hagedorn.
