Frances Lucy Heins, age 92, of Montrose, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Howard Lake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly with Father Kenneth O’Hotto as the celebrant.
There will be visitation at the church, two hours prior to the Mass.

Frances was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Delano, the daughter of John and Frances (Gabrelcik) Roy.
She and Jerald “Jed” Heins were joined in holy marriage Sept. 25, 1947.
Frances was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.
Frances and Jerry Heins operated a farm in Woodland Township, Wright County for many years.
Frances also formerly worked at the Green Giant Plant in Watertown, and The Wessex Inn in Montrose.
From 1975 until 1991, Frances owned Garden Design from her home in Montrose.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Carla) Heins of Blue Springs, MO; a daughter-in-law, Emily Heins of Howard Lake; grandchildren Wade Heins, Charlie (JoNelle) Heins, Jamie (Katie) Heins, and Michelle (David) Hilburn; great grandchildren Ashley and Madison; Tucker, Sabrina and Ryan; Alden, Clara and Annie; and other relatives and friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald “Jed” Heins; parents; nine siblings; and a great-grandson.
