Wayne Robert Hoffman, age 73, of Dassel, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at his home.
There will be a time to gather together Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel, with interment of the urn taking place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is handling the arrangements.
Wayne was born May 9, 1944, in St. Paul, the son of Robert and Lucille (Martin) Hoffman. He grew up in California, and graduated from the Tustin High School in 1962.
He was inducted into the United States Air Force March 12, 1965, and served his country until April 7, 1969. Wayne had been stationed for several years in Alaska.
Wayne was employed as a truck driver for many years in California, before he moved to Minnesota and was employed by HTI in Hutchinson until his retirement.
He enjoyed nature, spending time by the lake, and listening to music.
Wayne is survived by his brother, Rick Hoffman of Seattle, WA; two nephews, Ross Hoffman and Jesse Hoffman and his wife, Sangmi Park; and three grand nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Robert Hoffman.
