Gary Franklin Johnson, age 78, of Cokato passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Savanna Prairie assisted living in Kimball.
A graveside service will take place Saturday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at the Cokato City Cemetery.

Gary was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Cokato, to Albert and Hannah (Paulson) Johnson. Gary was baptized and confirmed in the Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He graduated from Cokato High School. Following graduation, Gary worked many years at Cokato Cement Works, and later at various agricultural jobs.
He enjoyed deer hunting and many other outdoor activities. Gary was an avid trap shooter and a member of Rainbow Sportsmen’s Club. He also really enjoyed people and country music.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Myron; and sister, Dorene (Melvin) Norine.
He is survived by his nephew, Brad (Deb) Norine; along with many great-nieces and great-nephews, family and friends.
