Florentine Anna Lachermeier, age 93, of Winsted, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, May 26 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

There will be visitation at the church, two hours prior to Mass.

Honorary urn bearers will be Florentine’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Urn bearer will be Conrad Lachermeier.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is assisting the family with arrangements.

Florentine was born Feb. 28, 1924, in McLeod County, the daughter of Benjamin and Evangeline (Shovelain) Artmann.

She was joined in holy marriage with Alois C. Lachermeier Sept. 15, 1941, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with six children.

A lifelong, faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Florentine was a church money counter, and belonged to the CCW. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, coffee at The Pantry, and praying the Rosary; and she loved her family and friends.

Florentine is survived by her children, Conrad (Vicky) Lachermeier of Clear Lake, Glenn (Barb) Lachermeier of Lester Prairie, Randy (Nancy) Lachermeier of Trevor, WI, and Brenda (Steve) Solum of Carlos, MN; daughter-in-law Nellie (Pete) Poetz; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; siblings Geraldine Axvig of Big Lake, Jeannine Erickson of Itasca, IL, Darrell Artmann of Holts Summit, MO, and Harlan Artmann of Zimmerman; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alois C. Lachermeier, in 1996; sons Gary Lachermeier in 1983, and Rick Lachermeier in 1999; grandson Jason Lachermeier; her parents; and siblings Germaine Artmann, Lorraine Artmann, Linus Artmann, Duawne Artmann, Mary Ann Ryden, and Anna Mae Hertzog.
