Betty Lee Polys, age 82, of Delano, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Nov. 4, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
A long-time resident of Des Peres, MO, Betty retired after many years as a lab technician with St. Louis Community College. She moved to Minnesota and became deeply involved with the community and her family.
Betty overcame many obstacles in her life, learning from them, using her humor, and reaching a comfortable peace. This positive, joyful, approach was shared and appreciated by all those whose lives she touched.
She was cherished as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, who created family-like close relationships throughout her life. She will be missed.
In her spirit of giving, Betty chose to donate her body to the University of Minnesota Medical School (www.bequest.umn.edu).
A celebration of Betty’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Ridgeview Hospice (www.ridgeviewmedical.org/hospice) to honor their caring help to Betty and her family and to help others who, like her, want to complete their life journey in the comfort of their home, as she did with her family and cats.
