D. Michael Radde, age 77, of Watertown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at his home.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Waconia Moravian Church (209 East 2nd Street) in Waconia, with Dr. Amy Gohdes-Luhman officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Mike was born Feb. 17, 1940, in Watertown, the son of Walter J. “Skip” and Hilda (Weber) Radde.
He was united in marriage to Joanne R. Hoogland March 21, 1970, at the Waconia Moravian Church.
Mike loved spending time bowling Thursday nights, and participating in mixed doubles at the Hollywood Sports Complex. In his younger days, he played a lot of softball.
He also liked working around the farm, raising cows, pigs, and chickens.
Mike thoroughly enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in any of the activities they were involved in.
He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. To pass the time, Mike would always be in for a game of cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Skip” and Hilda Radde; brothers Walter Gene Radde and Jerry Radde; father-in-law and mother-in-law Vernon and Sophie Hoogland; sister-in-law Diane Hoogland; and brother-in-law James Hoogland.
Mike is survived by his loving family: wife Joanne; daughters Sandra (Mark) Stein of Watertown, and Barbara (Russell) Scherber of Buffalo; grandchildren Brandon Stein, Meghan Stein, Michael Scherber, Kyle Scherber, and Stacy Scherber; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Betty Radde of Waconia, Debbie and Arland Polzin of Windom, Mary Dammer of Lakeville, and Judy Hoogland of Watertown; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
