Martha T. Rohling Obituary – 3/21/2017


Martha T. Rohling, age 87, of Winsted, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

A memorial service will take place Monday, March 27 at 10 a.m. at Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Father Paul Schumacher will officiate. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Martha was born June 22, 1929, in Victor Township, Wright County, the daughter of Catherine (Helmbrecht) and Martin B. Kieser.

She was a deeply religious person, who enjoyed spending time at the farm with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Martha loved gardening, quilting, doing cross-stitch, and doing things for others.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Karry) Rohling of Howard Lake, and Melvin Rohling of Roseville; grandchildren, Julie Rohling, Karen (Jordan) Snell, and Steven Rohling Jr.; great-grandchildren Kayden and Kaitlyn Snell; brothers George Kieser of Delano; Leonard (Margaret) Kieser; and Joseph (Janice) Kieser all of Winsted; Donald (MaryAnne) Kieser of St. Cloud; and Gerald (Debbie) Kieser of Lakeville; and many other relatives and friends.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, William Rohling; her parents; daughter Carol Rohling; and sisters and brother; Dorothy (Fred) Entinger, Mary (Louis) Entinger, and Alfred (Margaret) Kieser.
