Steven William Rohling Sr., age 53, of Howard Lake, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017.
He was born June 8, 1964 in Winsted, the son of William and Martha T. (Kieser) Rohling.
Steve graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1982.
On April 8, 1989, Steven W. Rohling and Karry A. Rohling were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Steve engaged in dairy farming in rural Howard Lake, Wright County for many years. He also was formerly employed at Green Giant and hauled milk, both cans and bulk.
He currently was the President of the Winsted Coop Board.
Steve loved his grandchildren! He also loved farming and dairy cattle. He did custom butchering which he took over from his two uncles Leonard and Alfred Kieser. Steve always lent a helping hand to everyone!
Survived by his wife of 28 years: Karry A. Rohling; children: Julie Rohling, Karen (Jordan) Snell and Steven Rohling Jr.; grandchildren: Kayden, Kaitlyn and Jayde Snell; a brother: Melvin Rohling; other relatives on Steve’s side of the family and on Karry’s side of the family.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents William and Martha Rohling and by a sister Carol Rohling.
A Memorial Service for Steven Rohling took place Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher officiated. Entombment followed at the Holy Trinity Niche.
A Time of Gathering was held on Thursday, Sept. 7 from noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
