Stanley C. Rustad, age 93, of Waconia, passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.
His funeral service will take place Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Waconia with the Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Interment will be at Faith Rutz Lake Cemetery in Waconia.
There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Stanley was born July 20, 1924, in Faribault, the son of Carl and Irene (Haugh) Rustad.
He was united in marriage to Adela Dietel April 19, 1952, at the Reformed Evangelical Church in Lester Prairie.
Stanley joined the navy in 1943, and became a pilot, serving until 1946.
Following his military service, he attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1950, with a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree.
After college, Stan joined General Mills as a mechanical engineer and went on to have a successful 39-year career before retiring. While at General Mills, he was listed on 17 different patents.
Stan enjoyed photography, and camping with the family, and had many good travels in his lifetime.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adela; parents Carl and Irene Rustad; brothers-in-law Henry Dietel, Clarence Dietel, Elmer Dietel, and Ray Dietel; and sisters-in-law Linda Hoernemann, and Irene Klaustermeier.
He is survived by his loving family: children Mark Rustad of Los Angeles, CA, Ruth Rustad of Minnetonka, and David (Pam) Rustad of Victoria; sister-in-law Leona Schultz of Winsted; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
