Catholine Scanlon, age 86, of Loretto, went peacefully to her heavenly home Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, following a lengthy battle with dementia.
She was born April 18, 1931, in Richmond, MN, to Henry and Magdalena (Kraemer) Meyer.
Catholine was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick; son Thomas “Red;” and daughter-in-law Rita.
She is survived by her sons, Leon (Cheryl), Dale (Sue), and Larry (Colleen); daughter-in-law Ann; grandchildren Ben (Richele), Brandon (Wendie), William, and Mackenzie; and great-grandchildren Kaylie, Lauren, Jack, and Wyatt.
Catholine is further survived by a brother, Donald (Barb) Meyer; sisters-in-law Lois Padden, Stanna Meyer, and Delores Ligeros; devoted friend Rita Otten; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, with visitation at the church from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the Mass. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were with the Iten Funeral Home of Delano.
