Deloris Strey, age 82, of Montrose, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017.
She was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Foley, to Benedict and Ethel (Melser) Golla.
Deloris was united in marriage to Clarence “Pete” Strey Jan. 19, 1957, and this union was blessed with six children.
Deloris was a homemaker, and helped Clarence with the farm. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing with her animals, cooking, crocheting, knitting, sharing recipes, and fishing.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Benedict; husband Clarence; daughter Robin Ellen Strey; a grandson, James Joseph Segler; daughter-in-law Deanna Strey; and her siblings, Shirley Imbodin, Albert Golla, and Seth Golla.
She is survived by her children: Wayne (Leslie Beck) Strey, Brenda (Randy) Segler, Sandra (Dale) Segler, Sharon (Ronald) Roskowiak, and Mary (Joel) Ernst; 16 grandchildren: Jennifer Sanchez, Amy Matthesis, Anthony Segler, Patrick Segler, John Segler, Melissa (Chad) Sinkler, Jessica (Brady) Wolff, Amanda (Paul) Merz, Rocky Roskowiak, Jeremy Roskowiak, Rachael Roskowiak, Alex Roskowiak, Cody Roskowiak, Cassie Ernst, Megan Ernst, and Heather (Jon) Drewelow; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother-in-law Howard (Joann) Strey, and sister-in-law Helen (Jack) Gardner.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church, Delano.
There was visitation at the church from 10 to 11 a.m., with a 9:30 a.m. rosary service.
Arrangements were with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
