Marlin (Butch) Wolter, age 66, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of Lester Prairie, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born July 6, 1950, at the Glencoe Hospital, to Bill and Hilda (Noll) Wolter of Lester Prairie.
Marlin served in the United States Army from 1968-1970, serving one year in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Senja; daughter Kerry and family; stepson and stepdaughter and families; brother Donald (Donna) Wolter of Arlington; sister Shirley (Gary) Kloempken of Gaylord; sister-in-law Myra (Larry) Lawrenz of Winter Haven, FL; as well as nieces and nephews.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Hilda Wolter; sister and brother-in-law Clara and Hillard Latzke; sister Mavis Wolter; and brother Harlan Wolter.
Interment took place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
