Glen A. Zdrazil, 81

Glen Arthur Zdrazil, age 81, of Annandale, formerly of Winsted, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Home in Howard Lake, following a battle with cancer.

He was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Glen Lake, the son of Joseph and Florence (Meinke) Zdrazil.

Glen served his country in the United States Army during the Korean era.

He was united in marriage to Marion (Fasching) June 16, 1956. Glen and Marion made their living as farmers near Winsted. Glen also worked for the Mid America Dairymen in Winsted, for a while doing both at the same time.

In 1995, Glen sold the farm and moved to French Lake in Annandale.

For the past 10 years, Glen has made his home with Juanita Butterfass on the south side of French Lake.

He also worked seasonally for Dahlco Seed in Cokato.

Glen enjoyed sightseeing, taking pictures of his ventures, going to polka dances, and listening to the music.

He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, and always loved a good laugh.

Glen was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion, both of Winsted.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Florence Zdrazil; wife, Marion; granddaughter Melissa; half-brothers Milan and Calvin Zdrazil; and in-laws Virgil Fasching, Lucille Meyers, and Geraldine Mueller

Glen is survived by special friend Juanita Butterfass; children Julie (John) Schlueter of Winsted, and John (Daryce) Zdrazil of Cornville, ME; and grandchildren Chris (Jennifer Kragenbring) Schlueter, Brad (Charity Sturges) Schlueter, and Andrew, Phillip and Mathew Zdrazil.

He is further survived by great-grandchildren Joseph Schlueter, Mackenzie Sturges-Schlueter, Jaxon Schlueter, and Kaylee and Elizabeth Constenius; in-laws , LeRoy Fasching of Brainerd, Melvin (Jeane) Fasching of Glencoe, Harold (Doris) Fasching of Hutchinson, Louis Fasching of Braham, Marcel (Bonnie) Fasching of Glencoe, Alberta Fiecke of Cold Spring, Elaine (Arnold) Marshall of Winsted, and Carolyn Fasching of Excelsior; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Winsted wth Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment followed in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.

Casket bearers were John Zdrazil, Julie Schlueter, Chris Schlueter, Brad Schlueter and Joe Schlueter.

Visitation was Monday, April 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 5 p.m., and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.; and continued Tuesday at the Chilson Funeral Home beginning at 9 a.m.
