Elwood A. Cole, 82

Elwood Allen Cole, age 82, of Arizona, formerly of Dassel, passed away at home with his loving family by his side Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018.

He was born in Dassel, the son of Allen and Ivy Cole.

Elwood graduated from Dassel High School, served in the US Army, and excelled at the Dunwoody Academy in the Twin Cities.

He began his career as a test lab technician at Trane. After the family moved to Arizona in 1971, he was employed as a commercial A/C technician, retiring in 2000.

Elwood was an artist at heart, creating wonderful works of art from clay, wood, and metal, and more recently, stunning acrylic and watercolor paintings. Over the years, his SW furniture and various art pieces were featured in Arizona galleries.

Elwood is survived by his beloved partner Sharon; sister LaVonne (Dennis Zeidler); son Richard (Joanna); daughter LeAnne (Al West); grandchildren Ashley (Ben Hurlbutt), Matthew and Alexandra; and great-grandson Henry.

He was preceded in death by spouses Clarice and Eloise; and sons Mark and Dan.

Visitation took place Tuesday, Nov. 20 in Arizona, followed by a memorial service.
