Donald Clarence Erickson, age 94, of Waconia, formerly of St. Bonifacius, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in Waconia.
Private family memorial services will take place at a later date.

Donald was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Minneapolis, the son of Clarence and Myrtle (Swanson) Erickson.
He received his education and was a graduate of high school/vocational in Minneapolis.
Donald entered active military service in the United States Army Feb. 28, 1943, and served his country during World War II. He received an honorable discharge March 15, 1947.
Donald was united in marriage to Lea Hannotte July 10, 1945, in Verviers, Belgium, during his military service. They shared over 72 years of marriage.
Donald and Lea made their home in Richfield, St. Bonifacius, Lester Prairie, and Waconia. Their marriage was blessed with six children, Don, Richard, James, Jeanne, Michele and John.
Donald worked at various jobs before working at Pako Corporation, where he worked as a machinist for 20 years, retiring May 1, 1983.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and coin collecting; and loved working with stained glass, building and construction. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife, Lea Erickson of Waconia; children, Don Erickson of Buffalo, Richard “Dick” Erickson of Mayer, Jeanne Salonek and Bruce Stacken of New Germany, Michele Furman of St. Bonifacius, and John Erickson and his wife, Betty, of New Germany; and daughter-in-law Karen Erickson of Norwood Young America.
He is further survived by grandchildren, Judy (Greg) Emerick, Brady (Amy) Erickson, Angella (Corey) Graves, Jessica (Ron) Bentz, Kristin (Mike) Kraemer, Mike Erickson, Sandi Weinand, Nathan (Jamie) Erickson, Nicki (Alex) Nash, Jennifer (Branden) Aretz, Jon D. (fiancée Rachel Wynsteker) Erickson, and Cassie (Phil) Schneider; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Pat (Lou) Manna, Anne Jounen, Marc Jounen, Jacqueline (John-Louis) Juncker, and Francouse (Tom) Sauvage; other relatives and many friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Myrtle Erickson; son, James Erickson; brother, Ken (Therese) Erickson; and sister, Audrey (Joe) Popko.
