Sue Forsman, age 52, of Howard Lake, passed away Friday Aug. 24, 2018, at her residence.
She was diagnosed with cancer in March 2017.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Tony Stubeda as the celebrant. Urn bearer will be Sue’s son, Nathan Helland.
There was visitation Thursday, Aug. 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday morning at the funeral home, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Sue was born July 14, 1966, in Austin, the daughter of Frank A. and Bonnie (Rosenthal) Karnes.
She was a very caring mom. Sue was always willing to help others.
She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, camping and the outdoors.
Sue was formerly employed at Littfin’s, and was also a bartender at Keg’s Bar.
She is survived by her three children: Nathan Helland, Amber (Nicholaus) Schreppel, all of Hutchinson, and Paige Forsman, of Cokato; two grandchildren: Hendrix and McKinley; her mother, Bonnie Karnes; siblings: Frank Karnes, Deb (Joe) Kirsch, Mike Karnes, Matt (Trish) Karnes, and Jessica (Nathan) Wilhelmi; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Frank Karnes; an infant brother, Christopher Karnes; and infant nephew, Andrew Karnes.
