Mavis Ann Kegler, age 79, of Lester Prairie, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Prairie Senior Cottages in Hutchinson.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted. A visitation will take place at the funeral home Saturday, June 23 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. There will be a private interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Mavis was born Sept. 4, 1938 in McLeod County; the daughter of Allie and Amelia (Reilein) Brelje.
Aug. 22, 1959, Mavis A. Brelje and Virgil E. Kegler were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four children.
Mavis was formerly employed as a waitress, and also at Green Giant in the summer months.
She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting, playing cards, taking walks, attending Wildcat baseball games, and was an excellent cook and baker. She also truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Virgil E. Kegler; children: Michael (Barbara) Kegler of Lester Prairie, Vicki (Francis) Roufs of Winsted, Mark (Connie) Kegler of Annandale, and Bradley Kegler of Lester Prairie; four grandchildren: Matthew Kegler, Samantha Kegler, Tracy Roufs and Courtney Roufs; a sister and brother-in-law: Gloria (Vern) Luckhardt of Bloomington; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Loew of Litchfield; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Amelia Brelje and by a sister Juanita Heinen.
