George J. Kieser Obituary – 9/13/2018


George John Kieser, age 90, of Buffalo, formerly of New Germany, passed away Thursday evening, Sept. 13, 2018, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Sept. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Tony Stubeda as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

There will be visitation Sunday, Sept. 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at the church, one hour prior to Mass.

Casket bearers will be John Lachermeier, Chris Kieser, Carey Kieser, John Entinger, Jason Kieser, and Mike Entinger.

George was born Sept. 30, 1927, in Winsted, the son of Martin and Catherine (Helmbrecht) Kieser.

He was joined in marriage with Helen M. Batdorf June 21, 1951, at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Mound.

George had a milk pickup route for Pure Milk Creamery in Winsted.

In May 1953, George and Helen moved to Bremen, IN, where George transported house trailers all over the United States and Canada. In 1956, they came back to Minnesota and bought a dairy farm near New Germany, and milked dairy cows until 1989.

George enjoyed square dancing, camping, going to country music festivals, winter vacationing in the south, playing cards, and fishing.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

George is survived by a son, Jim Kieser of New Germany; a daughter, Sue Neisen (Bob Koenig) of Delano; a granddaughter, Josie Neisen of Winsted; brothers Joe (Janice) Kieser, Donald (MaryAnne) Kieser, and Gerald (Debbie) Kieser; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. Kieser March 22, 2014; a granddaughter, Toni Marie Huber; his parents; and sisters and brothers, Dorothy Entinger, Mary Entinger, Alfred Kieser, Martha Rohling, and Leonard Kieser.
