John H. Krueger Obituary – 9/10/2018


John Henry Krueger, age 75, of Mayer, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, Sept. 23 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Hollywood Sports Complex, 15950 County Road 122, Watertown.

John was born June 7, 1943, in Winsted Township, McLeod County, the son of Louis and Mary (Habisch) Krueger.

He was united in marriage to Bonnie Bruhn April 12, 1983, in Watertown, SD.

John worked most of his career at Winsted Farmers Co-op Assn.; for over 50 years.

His passion was playing modified and fast pitch softball. He was a huge fan of the Winsted Wildcats, and enjoyed watching all sports on TV.

John loved to go fishing and bowling.

He had graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Winsted, and was proud to have served his county in the US Army during the Vietnam War. As a veteran, John continued his service through the American Legion Post 407 in Winsted.

John was preceded in death by his father and mother, Louis and Mary Krueger; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lyle and Gladys Bruhn.

He is survived by his loving family: wife Bonnie; son Andrew Krueger of Mayer; brother and sister-in-law Edward and Marlene Krueger of St. Louis Park; sister Theresa Graunke of Winsted; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law David Bruhn of Yoncalla, OR, Beverly and Donnie Cooper of Exeter, MO, and Edward Bruhn of Mayer; nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
