Donald N. Locke, age 75, of Waverly, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018.
A brief memorial service will take place Friday, June 22 at 10 a.m. at Watertown Public Cemetery, 604 Stevens St SW, Watertown.
The family has requested no flowers. Don was born May 24, 1943, in Minneapolis, and was raised in Wayzata.
He loved horses and trucks, and put these two interests to work he was a well-respected farrier in the western metro for over 40 years, and also a local and long-haul truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Lucille Locke; a brother, James E. Locke; stepson, Brian Burke; and best buddy, Hunk, his palomino gelding.
Donald is survived by a son, Donald “Donny” Edwin Locke and wife, Lynne Metzger; a daughter, Leslie Ann Locke; stepdaughter Vicki Rusch; grandchildren Brandi Lynn Locke, and Marissa Ann Locke; step grandchildren Jesse and Jeremy Notermann, Jacki Sommers, and Ryan, Eric, and Kelsey Deering; as well as several great-grandchildren.
