Rocklyn (Rocky) Dewey Lounsbury, age 64, of Hutchinson, passed away suddenly Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018.
He was born Jan. 14, 1954, in Litchfield, to Dewey and Lorraine Lounsbury.
Rocky graduated from Eden Valley-Watkins High School in 1972. He then worked at the Dassel hardware store for many years, Randt Oil, Spee-dee Delivery, and most recently, in the maintenance department at the Clinton house apartments for INH properties.
Rocky was very easygoing. He loved to visit with family and friends, and always had to have his cup of coffee. He also enjoyed watching sports, playing cards, and listening to old country music.
Rocky is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Hutchinson; his children, Amanda Lounsbury of Hutchinson, Aurora Lounsbury of Kimball and her special friend Gene, Laura Dooley of Hutchinson and her husband Dan, Adam Tabberson of Cokato and his wife Ashley, and Chad Moehring of Faribault and his special friend Heather; and five grandchildren: Amber, Arin, Braeden, Calin, and Everly.
He is further survived by a sister, Bonnie (Terry) Ash of Milaca; brother Roger (Julie) Lounsbury of Litchfield; sister Becky (Wade) Kindseth of Litchfield; sister Kris (Von) Grotto of Paynesville; and sister Jackie (John) McCann of Grove City; and many nieces and nephews.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lorraine Lounsbury; and a sister, Kathy Kadelbach.
A memorial service took place Monday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
