Mark G. Nolan, age 51, of Delano, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 26, 2018.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, April 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano.
There will be visitation Monday, April 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church, continuing Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the Mass.
Inurnment at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Delano.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home, Delano.
Mark was born in Watertown Easter Sunday, April 10, 1966, the seventh child of James and Mary (Magner) Nolan.
He grew up in Delano, and graduated from Delano High School in 1984.
Mark played football, baseball, and was very proud of being on the first-ever Tiger hockey team at DHS.
In the summer after graduation, he particularly enjoyed his experience as Delano’s delegate to Boy’s State.
He attended St. Cloud State University and graduated in 1988, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in business marketing, and a bachelor of science degree in education (history).
Mark was always active in sports; coaching local youth baseball for many years and attending all types of sporting events. He especially loved his vacations with family and friends at cabins Up North and on the river in Red Wing, as well as his regular fishing trips to the Great Lakes.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Jim; and brother-in-law Steve Krueger.
He is survived by the loves of his life, his children, Brady, Ellie and Katie; mother Mary; siblings Bob, Nancy (Pat) Neaton, Shelley (Bob) Russek, Russ (Janette), Lori and Jim; mother of his children Michele; and many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
