It has pleased Almighty God to call out of this life, Daniel Charles Parpart.
He was baptized into the Christian faith June 16, 1957, and later confirmed May 16, 1971 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany.
Dan attended Waconia High School. He served three years in the US Army. Dan enjoyed talking about friends he made and experiences they had while stationed in both Hawaii and Australia.
He was a father to two children in his first marriage.
Dan was on both the Lester Prairie and Plato fire departments, as well as a trustee for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato. He was employed by Littfin Lumber, Mammoth Industries, and Hutchinson Co-op.
Dan was the type of guy that once you knew him you built a lasting relationship. He still has close friends from all of his previous places of employment. Dan was very witty and had a fun loving, lighthearted personality. He was talented in so many ways.
In 2002 he married Cheryl. She had three children he loved as his own. On Sundays during football season, you always knew where you could find Dan and were always welcome to join him. Dan would start talking about his annual fishing trip to Devils Lake three months before he left. He was so many things to so many people, loving husband, caring father, lovable Papa, devoted brother, steadfast friend and an amazing mentor.
