Joyce M. Quast Obituary – 2/26/2018


Joyce M. Quast, age 82, of Burnsville, entered eternal life Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 W. 125th St., Savage; with visitation at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m., prior to the Mass. Private family interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Burnsville.

Joyce was born March 16, 1935, in Watertown, the daughter of Andrew and Martha (Kollath) Bayerl.

She married Joseph Quast Sept. 16, 1961, in Winsted.

Joyce was a high school paraprofessional and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time in her vegetable and flower gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; children, Jill Bettermann, Lynn Jaworski (Patrick Skelly), Jay, Amy, and David (Kirstin Larson); grandchildren Shannon and Chad Bettermann, Shawn (Chris) Jaworski and Amanda (Steve) Ibanez, and Danielle Gunter; great-grandchildren Taylor, Chase, Alexis, Mia, and Dominic; step-great-grandchildren Jamie, Allyssa, Jaiden, and Ryhlea; and siblings Marlys Corr, and Ronald (Judy) Bayerl.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Martha Bayerl.
