Lee D. Robertson, 65

Lee Donald Robertson, age 65, of Dassel, died Friday, April 6, 2018, at his residence.

A memorial service will take place Friday, April 13 at 2 p.m. at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Cokato, with Pastor Al Jones officiating.

The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the memorial arrangements.

Lee was born April 17, 1952, in Emmetsburg, IA, the son of Donald Henry and Alice Marie (Lee) Robertson. He grew up in Hampton, IA, where he attended school and graduated from the Hampton High School in 1970.

After graduation, Lee moved to Minneapolis, where he resided for a few years.

He was united in marriage to Della Knutson Aug. 18, 1979, in Waconia.

The couple made their home in Waconia, before moving to Cokato in 1980. For 19 years, Lee and Della made their home in Cokato, and in 1999, they moved to Dassel, where they have resided since.

Lee was employed as a truck driver for most of his life, and for the past five years, has worked for Faribault Foods in Cokato.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA, and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dog, Annie. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all his heart.

Lee is survived by his wife, Della Robertson of Dassel; step-children, Kari (Michael) Greenquist, Renee’ Hendrickson, all of Zimmerman, Cathy (Bill) Zobel of Darwin, and Todd Knutson of Dassel; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by siblings Jon (Carole) Robertson of Hampton, IA, Janine Robertson of Las Vegas, NV; and Robert Robertson of Hot Springs, AR; brothers-in-law Gerald (Sheri) Braunberger, Arlie (Pat) Braunberger, and Rick (Tammy) Derheim; sisters-in-law Ellen Wangrud, and Connie Lobitz; and many nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Greenquist; his parents; and a nephew, Corey Robertson.
