Lawrence Daniel “Larry” Zerwas, age 58, of Lester Prairie, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Hutchinson.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Urn bearer will be Larry’s son, Jonathan Zerwas. Alice Nowak will be the organist.
There will be visitation at the church Friday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Lawrence was born March 26, 1959, in Minneapolis, the son of Gerhardt “Gary” and Gail (Downs) Zerwas.
He was joined in holy marriage with Kathy Guenigsman July 6, 1982, in Kermit, TX. God blessed their marriage with two children.
Larry was formerly employed at Lester’s, and owned and operated Forever Green Lawn Service.
He was a very meticulous person, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shopping and bird watching.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Zerwas; children, Kimberly (Brandon) Kutz of Winsted, and Jonathan Zerwas of Glencoe and fiancée Amanda Kerber; grandchildren McKenna and Mason; and Emily, David and Colton; his mother, Gail Zerwas of New Prague; brothers and sisters Gerhardt (Becky) Zerwas Jr., Lori Ann Marshall, Dianna (Wally) Plekkenpol, Greg (Mary) Zerwas, Julie (Kevin) Fosdick, and Scott (Jenny) Zerwas; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Lavonne Guenigsman of Winsted; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Gerhardt; and by his grandparents, John and Lois Zerwas, Woodrow Downs, and Cecelia Downs.
