Dale Anderson, 77

Dale Anderson, age 77, of rural Dassel, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019, at Prairie Senior Cottages of Hutchinson.

Dale was born Aug. 6, 1941, in Genola, MN, to Lloyd and Evelyn (Lampert) Kasch. He was adopted at the age of 5 by Alfred and Ruth Anderson of the Lake Jennie community.

Dale attended country school, District 77 in rural Dassel, and Dassel High School.

Dale was united in marriage to Lorraine Hennessey Aug. 14, 1971, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel. Their marriage was blessed with three sons, Tim, Darin, and Chad. Dale and Lorraine shared 47 years of marriage.

Dale owned and operated Anderson Repair, where he did mechanical, welding, and farm repair. In 1975, he took over the third-generation farm when his father, Alfred Anderson, retired.

Dale was very active as a Boy Scout and Explorer leader.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling to northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Canada. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Dale is survived by his wife, Lorraine Anderson of Dassel; sons Tim Anderson of New Brighton, Darin Anderson of Dassel, and Chad Anderson of Cokato and his special friend, Karen Corbin; granddaughter Ashleigh Webb; brothers Carroll Lampert of International Falls, and Ron Lampert of Laporte, MN; and sisters Bernice Sandberg and her husband, Leroy, of Fairmont, Virginia Neuman of Medford, OR, Gloria Karawski and her husband, Joe, of Las Vegas, NV, Beverly, Carolin Petterborg of Fairmont, and Connie Groff and her husband, Ivan, of New Ulm.

He is further survived by brothers-in-law Gene Hennessey and his wife, Darlene, Lee Hennessey and his wife, Marlys, Jerry Hennessey and his wife, Carol, Dean Hennessey, Bill Renstrom and his wife, Mary Anne, Leroy Markgraf, Emil Rosenau, and John Stueber; sisters-in-law Rosie Hennessey, Darlene Hennessey, and Florence Hennessey; and many other relatives and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Evelyn (Lampert) Kasch; adopted parents, Alfred and Ruth Anderson; daughter Debora Anderson; brother Dick Lampert; brothers-in-law Bob Hennesey, Herb Hennessey, and Delbert Hennessey; and sisters-in-law Darlene Markgraf, Marlys Rosenau, Donna Stueber, and Mary Hennessey.

A funeral service took place Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with interment in Lake Jennie Covenant Church Cemetery of Dassel.

The Rev. Brian Nehring officiated at the service. Bobbie Ludewig was soloist.

Casket bearers are John Holmquist, Mark Hennessey, Jason Hennessey, Donald Stueber, Bret Wakefield, and Craig Tuman.
