Shirley M. DeWitte, age 95, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 3019.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano. There will be visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church, prior to the Mass. Interment with military honors will be at 3 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Shirley was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Elgin, to Ray and Ella Feeder.
She served in the US Navy during World War II.
Shirley was united in marriage to Robert DeWitte Feb. 21, 1946, in Pipestone.
While raising a family of eight children, Shirley attended nursing school, and graduated with an LPN degree.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughters Roberta, Kathryn, and Susan; and grandsons Mark, Ryan, and Evan.
Shirley is survived by her children, the Rev. Mr. Michael (Mary) DeWitte, Daniel (Linda) DeWitte, Annette (Kenneth) Bunn, Jeanine DeWitte (Dennis) Letch, and Charles (Mary) DeWitte; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and brothers Jim Feeder and David (Karen) Feeder.
