Phyllis Ludeen Glommen, age 93, of Colorado Springs, CO, was welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, in Colorado Springs.
A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. at Buffalo Covenant Church, 1601 Highway 25, Buffalo.
Memorial gifts may be sent to the Benevolent Fund at Buffalo Covenant Church.
Phyllis was born July 24, 1926, in Fayette County, OH, to William and Mary Hanley.
Phyllis and her husband, Anton L. Glommen (Tony) worked and served as lay missionaries in Tel Aviv, Israel for several years.
Phyllis was an accomplished pianist, and a self-taught folk art painter, signing her artwork with her Hebrew name, Pnina.
Before moving to Colorado Springs in 2015, Phyllis was a member of Buffalo Covenant Church. She was a devout Christian, and led women’s Bible studies for many years in Buffalo and Delano.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, and the love of her life, Anton L. (Tony) Glommen.
She is survived by her children: Sherry Glommen of San Jose, CA, Tonia (David) Voss of Saline, MI, Rebecca (Steven) Tomlinson of Delano, and Patricia (Steven) Fleming of Monument, CO; grandchildren Thad (Anna) Tomlinson, Rayme (Jay) Bernick, Annaka Voss, Ryan Voss, Sarah (Philip) Wright, and Matthew Fleming; and seven great-grandchildren.
