James B. Lauzer Obituary – 12/5/2019


James Bradley Lauzer, age 62, of Howard Lake, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

He was born March 6, 1957, in Cokato, the son of George and Lorraine (Drawert) Lauzer.

James graduated from Howard Lake High School.

He was joined in holy marriage with Renee F. (nee Kieser) May 23, 1981, at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake.

James worked for over 30 years at The Ron Vik Company. He also was the longtime manager of the Howard Lake Mobile Home Park.

Jim was fond of trap shooting, deer hunting, fishing, and mowing lawns.

He is survived by his loving wife, Renee F. Lauzer; children Chersti (Paul) Horsch of Montrose, Stacey Maas of Howard Lake, and Craig Maas of Montrose and significant other Tracy Scanner; 11 grandchildren: Hattelene, Ronisha, Austin and Gavin; Cody, Quinten, Tristan, Carter and Devon; and Brandon and Hannah; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Jim is further survived by sisters and brothers, Sharon Hecksel, Dennis (Patricia) Lauzer, LuAnn (Robert) Ryks, David (Kelly) Lauzer, and Cheryl Hamilton; sisters-in-law Jeanette (Jim) Lachermeier, and Anna Wahl; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Richard; brother Michael Lauzer; nephew Josh Lauzer; parents-in-law Clemens and Delores Kieser; brothers-in-law Eldron Hecksel, Lee Hamilton, and Dennis Kieser; and by his dearly beloved pet, Eddie.

A memorial service took place Monday evening, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with the Reverend David Hormann officiating.
