Leland Everett Shrode, age 82, of Delano, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will take place Friday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at Delano United Methodist Church, followed by interment in the Delano Public Cemetery.
There will be visitation Thursday, Dec. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. fireman’s prayer, at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano. Visitation will continue Friday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.

Leland was born April 27, 1937, in Lester Prairie, to Leroy and Lydia (Fenske) Shrode.
He was a longtime owner of Leland and Sons auto service in Delano.
Leland served on the Delano Fire Department for more than 30 years before retiring.
He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
Leland is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joanne; sons Jeff (Doreen) Shrode, Kevin Shrode, and Steve (Flo) Shrode; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings Shirley (Jim) Gruba, and Larry (Linda) Shrode.
