Lindsay Augustus Wallace Jr., age 85, of Delano, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019.
Memorial services will take place Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Episcopal Church, 865 N. Ferndale Dr. Wayzata.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church, prior to the services.
Inurnment with military honors will take place Monday, Oct. 28 at 10:15 a.m. in Assembly Lane 5 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Lindsay was born July 17, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA.
He served honorably in the US Army.
Lindsay worked for Tescom Corporation for 37 years.
He was known for his love of farming, and he took pride in his hobby farm, south of Delano.
Lindsay was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsay Augustus Wallace Sr. and Neva Wallace; grandson Jonathan Oltman, great-grandson Abel Hoover; sister Neva Orr; and brother Gerald Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret; daughters Morgan (Jerry) Crawford, and Mary Meisenholder; son Lindsay (Theresa) Wallace III; grandchildren Linda (Lincoln) Hoover, Sarah (Justin) Langlitz, Katherine Crawford, David (Tanya) Oltman, Lindsay (Rachel) Wallace IV, and Emily Wallace; great-grandchildren Amelia Oltman, Lucas Langlitz, Callista Langlitz, and James Oltman; grand daughter-in-law Melissa Oltman; sister Marion (Richard) Bolton; brother Thomas (Rita) Wallace; and sister-in-law Norma Wallace.
