Mark Wiederholt, 76

Mark Allen Wiederholt, age 76, of Winsted, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

A memorial service will take place Friday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Frank Claude and Father Joseph Mary will officiate. Private interment will be at Rice Lake Cemetery in Wells, MN.

There will be a time to gather Friday, Aug. 2 at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the services.

Mark was born June 21, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Theodore “Ted” and Elaine H. (Henke) Wiederholt.

Mark formerly managed Green Giant in Winsted, and worked as a mechanic at Green Giant in Glencoe. He was employed at Green Giant for 46 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, woodworking and going with friends to breakfast at Broadway B’s in Cokato.

Mark is survived by his children: Carol (Jim) Mickolichek, Amy (Richard) Carlson, and Alan (Lynise) Wiederholt; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; stepchildren Dean (Lana) Hertzog, Kelli Scherping, Lee (Wendy) Hertzog, Scott (Maria) Hertzog, Randy (Erica) Hertzog, Traci (Greg) DiLeo, Barry Hertzog, Neil (Jamie) Hertzog, Father Joseph Mary, and Cory (Stacey) Hertzog; 23 step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

He is also survived by sisters LaFave Weise, Marie (Marvin) Johnston, Danette Enger, Gail (Bruce) Gudahl, Sheryl (Tom) Moench, and Debra (William) Hansen; a brother-in-law, Douglas Krinke; a sister-in-law, Kathy Wiederholt; and many other relatives and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa “Terri;” a daughter, Kimberly Wiederholt; a son, Ronald “R.J.” Wiederholt; a grandson, Lance; his parents; siblings Dale Wiederholt, Susan Krinke, and Henry Wiederholt; and a brother-in-law, John Enger.
