Kirstin Hanke, 47

Kirstin Kay Hanke, age 47, of Gaylord, MN, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020, at her home in Gaylord surrounded by her family in the arms of her children.

A memorial service was Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord with interment following in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie.

Gathering of family and friends was one hour prior to the service at the church.

Kirstin was born on July 5, 1973, in Glencoe, MN. She was the daughter of Gerald and Gail (Schultz) Stuedemann.

Kirstin was baptized as an infant in 1973 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She received her education in Gaylord and was a graduate of the Sibley East High School Class of 1991.

Kirstin lived in the Gaylord area for most of her life. She was employed at Medallion Cabinetry in New Ulm for 20 years. In 2018, she began working at Agropur in Le Sueur. Kirstin was a member of American Lutheran Church in Gaylord.

She was blessed with four children, Megan, Devin, Madison, and Brianna. Kirstin cherished the time spent with her children, family, and friends. She enjoyed gardening, seasonal decorating, and playing solitaire games. Kirstin also enjoyed playing in her darts league and playing volleyball and softball.

Kirstin is survived by her children, Megan Mahon of Coon Rapids, MN; Devin Mahon of New Ulm, MN; Madison Mahon of Gaylord; Brianna Hanke of Gaylord; grandchildren, Easton, Killian, and Duke Mahon; siblings Michelle Ellzey and her husband, Max, of Carksville, TN; Brenda Trout and her husband, Danny, of Gaylord; Bryan Stuedemann of Gaylord;, Brad Stuedemann and his wife, Tonya, of Hugo, MN; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Kirstin was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Gail Stuedemann; grandparents, Walter and Iris Schultz; uncle and aunt Kendall and Marian Schultz; and aunt Kathryn Hoof.
