Nettie was born July 28, 1932, the daughter of John and Clara Lewandowski.

Nettie Lewandowski and Marceal LaMott were united in holy marriage April 17, 1951, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with three children; David, Diane, and Doris.

Nettie was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. She also belonged to the CCW, Rosary Society, and the Auxiliary. Nettie was a very strong Catholic.

Some of her favorite sayings were, while playing Phase 10 cards, “When you’re blue, you’re blue,” and “Yellow yellow, kiss your fellow.”

Nettie was a farmer’s wife for many years, until they bought the Corner Bar in Winsted. After they sold the bar, she cooked at various restaurants, and worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at Starkey Labs.

Cedar Crest became Nettie’s new home after she suffered a stroke 11 years ago. She loved all the staff there, and thought of them as her family.
