Victoria L. Lindgren, 66

Victoria Lucille “Vicki” Lindgren (Vogt), age 66, a long time resident of Cokato, MN passed away Monday, July 7, 2020, at the University of Minnesota after a long battle with health issues.

Vicki was born Oct. 29, 1953, in Minneapolis, MN to Lucille Lanning (Vogt) and Earl (Dutch) Vogt. She graduated from Washburn High School June 7, 1971. Later, Vicki attended Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN and graduated December 2001 with her associates degree as a computer support technician.

She married Glenn Morris Lindgren May 22, 1982. They resided in Mound, MN until 1985, when they moved to Cokato. Glenn and Vicki divorced in 1995.

Vicki worked as a waitress and had managerial responsibilities at the Northwoods Inn Bar and Saloon in Cokato for many years until its closing. She then went on to work as a waitress at the Norseman restaurant in Cokato, until she decided to obtain her degree.

Some of her volunteer work was as a Cub Scout leader and with the local school board. Vicki was gifted and always had an interest in the arts, such as, but not limited to, ceramics, writing, music, sculpting, painting, drawing, dance, and theatrical makeup.

Vicki is survived by her two children, Jeremiah Lindgren and Angelica Nixon (Lindgren); her two grandchildren, Elizabeth Nixon and Andrew Nixon; her mother, Lucille Lanning (Vogt); her brother Randall (Randy) Vogt; her stepbrother Mike Lanning; and her two cherished cats, Snowball and Shady.

Vicki was preceded in death by her partner, Douglas Stoltz (March 20, 2020); her father, Earl (Dutch) Vogt (Feb. 9, 1988); her stepfather Donald (Don) Lanning (Aug. 18, 2016); and her ex-husband Glenn Lindgren (Dec. 18, 2014).

Vicki was a free spirit, she believed in living in the moment, and following your heart. She was lighthearted and loved to laugh. She always tried to see the good in people. Vicki will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
