Charlotte Emma Darlene (Lantto) Peterson, age 84, of French Lake Township passed away Jan. 24, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard Lake.
Services will take place Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Riverside Cemetery in French Lake Township at 2 p.m.
Charlotte was born Aug. 5, 1935 in Annandale, to Emma (Rokala) and Ernest Lantto. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1953. She also attended St. Cloud State University for a brief period.
Charlotte and Curtis Peterson were married May 21, 1955, in Cokato.
Charlotte worked as a clerk and accountant at Woolworth Co. located in Blaine, for 20 years, then pursued other employment opportunities to occupy her time. She loved caring for her flower beds, reading, and walking.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Curtis Peterson of French Lake Township; her children, Sheila Mckenzie of Coon Rapids, John (Tammy) Peterson of French Lake Township, Melinda (Brent) Woodfill of Cokato, Karl (Boni) Peterson of Senoia, GA, and Sara (Jonathan) Litzner of Niskayuna, NY. There are also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to carry on her legacy.
Charlotte was preceeded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emma Lantto; children, Diane Peterson and Christine Wagner; sisters, Carol Schacht and Greta Meade; and brothers, Paul and Reuben Lantto.
