Caroline Peterson, 68

Caroline LeAnn (Eastling) Peterson, age 68, of Buffalo, formerly of Cokato, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at Buffalo Covenant Church in Buffalo. Inurnment will take place at Swedish Mission Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Caroline was born Feb. 29, 1952, in Hutchinson, to LeRoy and Nettie (Bonniwell) Eastling. Caroline grew up in Cokato. She graduated from Dassel-Cokato High School in 1970.

Caroline worked for several years at the Dassel nursing home, and then at Walmart in Buffalo for 20 years. She resided with her family in Buffalo.

In her free time, you could find her tending her flower and vegetable gardens, creating miniature fairy gardens, doing crossword puzzles, and dancing.

She loved spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They would go for walks, spend time outdoors, and go to local parks to play.

Caroline had a very caring and energetic personality. She loved having long conversations with family and friends. She could make new friends very easily, with her fun and easy-going nature.

She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Nettie; brother, Gary Eastling; and niece, Kari Block.

Caroline is survived by her children, Debbie (Aaron) Friedrichs, Greg Peterson, and David (Jessica) Conlin; grandchildren, Deserae (Jaden) Fortune, Zachary and Austin Friedrichs, and Madison, Rylee, and Logan Conlin; great-grandchildren, Carter and Thomas Fortune; siblings, Kathy (Kenneth) Block, Lester Eastling, Margaret Eastling, Darrell Eastling, Dorothy Drake, and Edward Eastling; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.
