Valeria Frances Nowak Chap Rozeski, age 94, of Silver Lake passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, at Cedar Crest in Silver Lake.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, Sept. 4 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father John Hayes will be the Celebrant. Urn bearers will be Jeff Wozniak and Lori Ostendorf.

Valeria was born Jan. 24, 1926, in Silver Lake, the daughter of John S. and Mary (Goranowski) Nowak.
Valeria and George F. Chap were joined in holy marriage at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake April 15, 1947. God blessed their marriage with eight children. July 5, 1972, George preceded Valeria in death.
Valeria F. Chap and Casimer J. Rozeski were joined in holy marriage at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Silver Lake Oct. 30, 1981. Casimer preceded her in death April 9, 2011.
Valeria was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. She also belonged to the C.C.W. and Rosary Society. Valeria had a strong Catholic faith.
She made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Valeria was an avid gardener and flower gardener. She was a great cook! Her family enjoyed her homemade kolaches and Czernia soup.
Valeria is survived by her loving children: Mary Lou (Ron) Brandel, Kathy (John) Wozniak, George (Donna) Chap Jr., Linda (Joe) Zitzmann, Nancy (Duane) Ebert, Roger (Julie) Chap, and Tom (Carrie) Chap; 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; brother: Stanley (Mary Ann) Nowak; step daughters: Diane (Tom) Hosapple, Betty (Paul) Opsahl, and Jane Bergren; other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husbands, Valeria was preceded in death by an infant, Joseph Chap; a granddaughter, Tara Jahnke; sisters, Clara Kulinski, and Angeline Kaczmarek; and brothers, Leo, Ed, and Art Nowak.
