Gail Stuedemann, 75

Gail Edith Stuedemann, age 75, of Gaylord, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at home, surrounded by her children.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Gail was born July 3, 1944, in Lester Prairie, McLeod County, the daughter of Walter and Iris (Pawelk) Schultz. She was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth.

Gail received her education in Lester Prairie, and was a graduate of the Lester Prairie High School class of 1962.

Gail was united in marriage to Gerald Stuedemann Sept. 7, 1962, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato. After their marriage, the couple resided in Lester Prairie, and in 1974, they moved to Gaylord. This marriage was blessed with five children.

Gail was employed for many years at M.G. Waldbaum Company as the head of housekeeping.

She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord, and taught Sunday school.

Gail enjoyed her children’s and grandchildren’s activities, cooking, baking, flower gardening, collecting, garage sales, and Christmas decorations. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Gail is survived by her children: Michelle Ellzey and her husband, Max, of Clarksville, TN; Brenda Trout and her husband, Danny; Bryan Stuedemann, all of Gaylord; Brad Stuedemann and his wife, Tonya, of Hugo,; and Kirstin Hanke of Gaylord; 12 grandchildren: Caroline, Courtland, Alex, Bethany, Alia, Dylan, Jake, Hanna, Megan, Devin, Madison, and Brianna; and 12 great-grandchildren: Alex, Sophia, Will, Eliza, Carter, Lucy, Zaylia, Easton, Killian, Duke, Courtland Jr., and Bo.

She is further survived by siblings Kendall Schultz, Charles Schultz and his wife, Diane; Chris Schultz and his wife, Amy; and Jenni Sebora and her husband, Marc; a brother-in-law, Stanley Hoof; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Iris Schultz; husband, Gerald Stuedemann; beloved sister, Kathryn Hoof; and sister-in-law, Marian Schultz.
