Virginia Teas, 93

Virginia M. Teas, age 93, of Delano, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.

She was born in Waconia, March 30, 1926, to Barbara and Maurice Leuthner; the second oldest of six children.

Ginny, as she was called, was married to Claude Teas for 65 years, residing most of her life in Delano. She had six children, who were her love and joy.

Ginny enjoyed traveling with her family to Oregon, California, the Caribbean, and Europe.

She was an avid and talented seamstress and baker.

Ginny was a loving, caring person and mother who cared deeply and gave of herself to others. We will always remember her with the most heartfelt love, for she was truly one of God’s angels.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Maurice Leuthner; husband, Claude; son-in-law, Bob; and grandson, Thomas.

She is survived by her children: Pat (Tim) Stelter, June (Tom) Berlinger, Mike Teas, Dave (Sylvia) Teas, Mary Macko, and Amy Feist; grandchildren: Lisa, Chris, Michael, Austin, Ryan, David, Teresa, Ashley, Ellie, Noah, Jared, Anna, and Rachel: great-grandchildren: Lila, Mallory, Miriam, Peter, Susanna, Maddie, Isabel, Sunna, Peyton, Riley, Kyra, and Maddie; and siblings Dorothy (Clarence) Kelzer, Morrie (Alice) Leuthner, Rita Peterson, Carol (Tony) Weinzeril, and Roger (Marge) Leuthner.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano.

There was visitation Monday, Jan. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 4:30 p.m., at Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Visitation continued Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the Mass, at Martha’s Hall.

Interment took place Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 9:15 a.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home of Delano.
