Carla Jean (Rueben) Tracy, age 53, of Glencoe, formerly of Mound, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
A gathering of family and friends took place Friday, July 31, 2020, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe.
Carla was born Feb. 19, 1967, in Minneapolis. She was the youngest of four children of Carl and Barbara (O’Connor) Rueben. Carla was baptized as an infant. She grew up in Mound, and received her education at Mound West Tonka School.
Carla was united in marriage to Jeffrey Tracy at Calvary Lutheran Church in Edina Sept. 21, 1996. Carla and Jeff made their home in Mound, Watertown, Howard Lake, and Glencoe.
Their marriage was blessed with two children, Shawn and Jennie. Carla and Jeffrey shared over 23 years of marriage.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker, Carla worked at Dura Supreme in Howard Lake, for 15 years as a cabinet assembler.
Carla loved to laugh, and her smile was contagious. She enjoyed housework, decorating, and outside yardwork. Carla cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
Carla is survived by her husband, Jeffrey “Jeff” Tracy; son, Shawn Rueben; daughter, Jennie Tracy; mother, Barbara Rueben; siblings, Karen Bergquist and her special friend, Dave, Gary Rueben, Lorretta Dudek and her husband, Mark; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Carla was preceded in death by her father, Carl Rueben.
