Marcia J. Epple, 68

Marcia Joy Epple, 68, of Montrose, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and children Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

She was born Nov. 17, 1952, in Buffalo, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (VanLith) Adickes.

Marcia was a 1970 graduate from Buffalo High School.

Marcia Adickes and James Epple were united in marriage Sept. 7, 1979. After their marriage, they bought James’ home farm, where the two raised their family.

Marcia first and foremost loved her role of being a mom. She also ran a daycare and worked at Honeywell. Marcia enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing bingo, and a nightly can of Coke and popcorn. She dearly loved her grandchildren; they were her greatest joy.

Marcia truly had a heart of gold. She loved everyone, and was often the life of the party. She will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Adickes; parents-in-law, Raymond and Lucille Epple; sister, Margie (Darmond) Olson; brother, Raymond (Francis) Adickes; and brother-in-law, Neil Maynard.

Marcia is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Epple; children, Bobby (Naomi) Burchett, Dustin (Natalie) Epple, Wade (Beth) Epple; grandchildren, Jack and Luke Burchett, Chalsey, Lexi, and Ellie Epple, Gabby, Joey, Andrew, and Mira Epple; siblings, Casey (Pru) Adickes, Mary (Bob) Morgan, Marlene (Burt) Ramthun, Alan (Carol) Adickes, Marla Maynard, Myra (Will) Decker, Monna Rae Adickes, Madonna Adickes (Dan Rasset); siblings-in-law, Dorothy (Ken) Hruska, Robert (Sherry) Epple; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Visitation took place Sunday, March 28 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montrose.

Funeral services took place Monday, March 29 at 10 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montrose. Burial took place at Cassel Cemetery in rural Delano.

The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo assisted the family.
