Constance “Connie” Flowers, age 94, of Fort Valley, GA, formerly of Collinwood, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2021.
Born in Collinwood, MN, to the late Edward and Alida Lundeen, Mrs. Flowers was raised as a farmgirl in central Minnesota.
During World War II, she met her future husband, the late Frank Flowers Sr., in Coronado, CA. They married and established their home in Fort Valley.
A longtime member of Fort Valley Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Flowers was a homemaker and always looking for ways to serve others in her community.
Survivors include her children, Mary and Allen Arseneau, and Frank Earl Jr. and Leonita Flowers; grandchildren, Sarah and Matt Gordon, Marjorie and Andy Gladding, Holli Flowers, and Susie Flowers; great- grandchildren, Thomas Gordon, Audrey Gordon, Yates Gordon, Rory Gordon, Rosalie Gladding, Althea Gladding, and Arthur Gladding.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Earl Flowers Sr.; and a daughter, Karna Lundeen Flowers.
Services took place Thursday, Jan. 14, at Fort Valley Presbyterian Church, 207 Central Avenue, with visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery. Dr. John Beck officiated.
