Roland Krohn, 81

Roland Krohn passed away at United Hospital of St. Paul Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. He had reached the age of 81 years, 1 month, and 7 days.

Roland Victor Krohn, was born Sept. 18, 1940, on the farm in Howard Lake to Arthur and Meta Ida (Yager) Krohn.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church of Howard Lake. He attended parochial school at St. James and Howard Lake High School.

After high school, he moved to Brooklyn Park and later Fridley.

He worked at FMC in Fridley, where he did tool sharpening. FMC was a defense contractor.

Roland enjoyed fishing and any sporting event that happened to be on television.

Roland is survived by Romona Kirchner of Sleepy Eye, Tom Krohn of Howard Lake, Rita Krohn of Bloomington, Grant (Debbie) Krohn of Maple Lake, and Mary Krohn of Bloomington.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Meta Krohn; siblings, Jerry, Paulette, and Dale.

A memorial service took place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at St. James Lutheran Church. Visitation took place one hour prior to service at church. Interment was at the church cemetery.

Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard Lake and Cokato, served the family.
