There will be a time to gather with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Monday morning.

All memorials will be donated to a local charity that Barb supported.

Barb Ann (Glaser) Lee, the daughter of Harold and Lois (Egaard) Glaser, was born Jan. 1, 1949, in Mounds View, MN.

Barb grew up in Mounds View, where she attended school and graduated from the Mounds View High School in 1969, and continued her education by receiving her bachelor of education degree at St. Cloud State in 1971.

Barb was baptized and confirmed at the Church Upon the Rock Church in Mounds View, and was presently a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel at the time of her death.

Barb was united in marriage Aug. 5, 1972, to Sharel Lee at the Church Upon the Rock Church in Mounds View.

Together, they made their home on a farm north of Dassel until 2003, when they moved to a home on the shores of Washington Lake.

Barb was a dedicated elementary school teacher at Cokato Elementary. She taught first and third grade for 34 years. She has instructed many children over the years, and every one of them held a special spot in her heart.

She loved her family with her whole heart and enjoyed the times that they would get together for holidays and special events.

She loved her morning “coffee run” with Sharel. She enjoyed shopping, but did not buy everything she liked.

She would often be found taking a trip to Jackpot Junction for a “no-brainer” day, to get the free gifts they gave away.

She loved her home that Sharel built for her on Lake Washington, and would watch the most beautiful sunsets.

One of her famous sayings was, “We are a small but mighty family.”

Together, Barb and Sharel spent the past six years wintering in Apache Junction, AZ. She loved to keep count of the number of grapefruit and lemons that would ripen on the trees every year.

She will be missed deeply by her family and her many friends.

Barb is survived by her husband, Sharel Lee of Dassel; children, Kristen (Jay) Berggren of Dassel, Ryan (Bria) Lee of Minneapolis; one granddaughter, Kyah Lee; four step-grandsons, Nick Berggren, Jordan Berggren, Wyatt Berggren, Jackson Berggren; one step great-grandson, Keegan Berggren; sister-in-law, Susan Gangsei of Minneapolis; and niece and nephew, TJ and Christine Glaser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lois Glaser; brother, Gerald Glaser; and parents-in-law, Mildred and Selmer Lee.
