James Paradis, 90

James Robert Paradis, age 90, of Winsted, passed away Nov. 27, 2021 at The Gardens at Winsted in Winsted, MN.

Per Jim’s wishes, no services will take place at this time.

He was born in Redwood Falls, MN Aug. 14, 1931, the son of Eugene Paradis Sr. and Calvernia Johannek.

James Paradis and Audrey Sovell were united in marriage Aug. 2, 1952 in Marshall, MN. Their marriage was blessed with four sons; William, Thomas, Robert, and John.

Jim was a retail grocer and meat cutter and owned his own grocery store, Jim’s Red Owl, in Winsted. After selling the grocery store, Jim began his banking career at Winsted Community Bank, later known as Flagship Bank.

He was an outgoing man who enjoyed helping people in the community, along with spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his sons William (Zoanne) Paradis of Bloomington, MN, Thomas Paradis (Luz) of Centreville, VA, Robert (Kathryn) Paradis of Moscow, ID, and John Paradis of San Diego, CA; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul of Winsted, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey, Oct. 25, 2021; parents; brothers, Eugene Jr., and David.
