Lorraine Seemann Obituary – 7/27/2021


Lorraine Radtke Seemann, 89, of Waconia, and formerly of Lester Prairie and Winsted, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

She was born April 25, 1932, in Glencoe, the daughter of Francis H. and Mayme (Smith) Donnay.

Lorraine M. Donnay and Wilbert “Willie” Radtke were joined in holy marriage July 21, 1951, at St Pius X Catholic Church in Glencoe. God blessed their marriage with seven children.

Lorraine M. Radtke and Clarence A. Seemann were joined in holy marriage Oct. 20, 1995, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Clarence Seemann preceded Lorraine in death Feb. 23, 2017.

Lorraine was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, and she belonged to the St. Anne’s Society.

She was a very social person, and enjoyed playing cards and having coffee parties with her friends. Early in their marriage, Clarence and Lorraine loved to walk the nature trail by their home in Winsted.

Lorraine is survived by children: Barbara Radtke of Minneapolis, Kim (Rod) Lasky of New Hope, Joseph (Kit) Radtke of Winsted, LuAnn (Bryon) Weisenburger of Lester Prairie, Jon (Colleen ) Radtke of Fort Myers, FL, and William (Michelle) Radtke of Lester Prairie; 15 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; a sister: Carol (Ronnie) Maresh of Glencoe; a sister-in-law: Jane Radtke of Winsted; stepchildren: Robert (Ayelet) Seemann of Eden Prairie, Paul Seemann of Excelsior, Merri Lea (Barry) Kyllo of Lester Prairie, and Laurie Slama of Crystal; step-grandchildren; other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her husband Clarence, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Howg, her parents, brothers: Sylvester Donnay, Victor Donnay, and Gerald Donnay, and sister, Betty Harens.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine Radtke Seemann took place Friday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Father John Hayes was the celebrant. There was a reviewal before the Mass.

There was a luncheon at the church following the funeral Mass. The interment at St. Pius X Cemetery in Glencoe followed the luncheon.

A visitation took place Thursday, July 29 at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A Rosary was recited, followed by Parish Prayers.

Further visitation took place Friday morning prior to Mass at the church.

Casket bearers were Erik Howg, Thomas Strei, Nicholas Strei, Jeremy Radtke, Nathan Weisenburger, Michael Radtke, and Jordan Radtke.
